Getting the COVID-19 Vaccine
BCHD is currently offering the Moderna, Pfizer, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines. You will be able to note which type of vaccine you would prefer before scheduling an appointment. Note: those under the age of 18 can only receive the Pfizer vaccine with parental consent. The Pfizer vaccine is authorized and recommended
Save time and complete your registration paperwork before your appointment! Parents/guardians must provide written consent or be physically present for minors under the age of 18 to receive the Pfizer vaccine.
The CDC has recommended booster doses for specific people. BCHD will be providing those booster doses and additional doses at the regular, walk-in clinics on Tuesdays in Benton Harbor from 3-6pm and Wednesdays in Niles from 4-6pm. Moderna, Pfizer, and J&J vaccines are available as boosters. Please bring your vaccination record card with you to your appointment for a 2nd dose or booster vaccine. COVID-19 vaccines are also available from many other providers and pharmacies.

The COVID-19 vaccines are critical in slowing the spread of the virus and helping our community recover from the pandemic. Stopping this pandemic will take us using all our tools: handwashing, masks, social distancing, and now, our newest tool of a vaccine to prevent the virus. Taken together, these tools offer the best chance of getting our community, schools, and businesses back to normal as soon as possible. Please remember, we will all need to keep using prevention strategies until enough of our community has received the vaccine.

All Michiganders age 12 and up are eligible and encourage to receive a vaccine.
>Adults over the age of 65 will continue to be prioritized for vaccination, if they have not already received it. If you are over 65 and have not received a vaccination yet, please call BCHD at 1.800.815.5485.

Spectrum Health Lakeland:
A new online self-scheduling calendar is available for those eligible and interested in receiving a COVID-19 vaccine through Spectrum Health Lakeland. View open appointments, choose a time and date that works best for you, and register your information. Appointments are available as first come, first serve. Check back to the webpage regularly to view open appointment slots. If you do not have internet access, and would like assistance scheduling an appointment with Spectrum Health Lakeland, please call 269.927.5100.
InterCare Community Health Network: COVID-19 vaccination is available at the InterCare Benton Harbor location (800 M-139, Benton Harbor) Mon-Fri from 8am to 7pm without an appointment for anyone 12 years old and up. They are also available at the Eau Claire location (6270 W. Main Street, Eau Claire) Mon-Fri from 7 am to 7pm (no appointment needed for anyone 12 years and older. For questions, call (855) 869-6900.
Meijer Pharmacy: Complete the registration process online.
Many other area pharmacies as well as primary care physicians are now offering the COVID-19 vaccine. Residents are encouraged to call their local pharmacy or doctor to inquire about vaccine availability.
