During the months of June through October, Michigan WIC participants can receive additional benefits to purchase locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables at local participating farmer's markets through Project FRESH. WIC partners with Michigan State University Extension to provide nutrition education to clients receiving Project FRESH coupons.
Project FRESH can help you learn how to:
Choose new locally grown produce
Prepare a fruit or vegetable in a new way
Store and preserve fresh fruits and vegetables
Increase fruit and vegetable consumption for you and your family
Find other community resources that can benefit you
Berrien County Health Department has a limited quantity of Project FRESH coupons to distribute. Coupons will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis - please call 269-927-5646 for more information about getting Project FRESH coupons.
