Narcotics Unit

The Sheriff's Department has a specialized narcotics unit. This unit is funded by a millage approved by voters every four years.

The narcotics unit's mission is to enforce narcotic laws by working in cooperation with local, state and federal authorities. The narcotics unit investigates and arrest suspects involved in unlawful drug activity.

Deputies assigned to the narcotics unit are often selected from a long list of potential candidates.  Once chosen, these deputies undergo a great deal of training in their area of specialty.

You can report drug activity by calling 1-800-505-NARC (6272).

Additional contact information:

Email:  Lt. James Hagenbarth, Commander
