In order to help ensure the safety of our residents and employees and prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the Berrien County Sheriff’s Records Office will be closed to the public as of 5:00pm on March 18, 2020. At this time, it will remain closed to the public until the close of business on April 6, 2020. County officials will continue to reassess the risk as more information is released by the U.S., State and Local health officials and the date may be adjusted accordingly.
During this shutdown, Records Department employees will continue to report to work and will be available by telephone, email and fax.
Please note that obtaining Pistol Purchase Permits, Sex Offender Registrant Updates and Non-Criminal Fingerprints are all postponed until the Records Lobby re-opens to the public.
