CRIME STOPPERS CRIME OF THE WEEK
This is D/Sgt. Fred Laesch of the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department for Crime Stoppers. The crime of the week comes from the files of the St. Joseph Department of Public Safety.
On March 28, 2017, the St. Joseph DPS responded to a complaint of identity theft and illegal use of a credit card of a local St. Joseph resident. A cloned credit card was used by two unknown suspects at several Walmart stores throughout West Michigan.
Crime Stoppers wants the persons responsible for this identity theft and illegal use of a credit card and will pay up to $1,000 for information leading to their arrest. Crime Stoppers also pays cash rewards on other felony crimes and the capture of fugitives.
